My name is Harry Shearman and I’m from Abbeyleix in County Laois. I am thrilled to be accepted to take part in the Corinthian Challenge 2018. I have been involved in the racing industry all my life and I am delighted to get the opportunity to raise funds for the Irish Injured Jockeys. Jockeys risk their bodies on a daily basis for our entertainment and in my opinion, they are the bravest people in sport.
I rode in several bumper races in my teens and always wanted another opportunity to race ride again. The Corinthian Challenge is a fantastic opportunity to experience the thrill of riding around three of Ireland’s premier racecourses and I really look forward to the challenge. I work full-time in the Irish National Stud who are going to support me greatly in raising funds and all donations would be hugely appreciated.
